Have Your Say π
What do you wish other commuters understood? π
Every journey has a story behind it.
Whether someone is walking, cycling, riding a motorbike, driving, using a wheelchair or mobility aid, travelling by public transport, or combining several ways of getting around, everyone experiences the journey differently.
Considerate Commuter wants to understand those differences.
Your experience matters
Perhaps there is something you do while travelling that other people sometimes misunderstand.
Maybe youβre a cyclist who has to move out of a cycle lane because of potholes or parked vehicles.
Perhaps youβre a driver who sometimes canβt stop as suddenly as a pedestrian might expect because of the traffic behind you.
You might be a motorcyclist who changes road position to stay visible, a pedestrian who needs more time to cross, or someone whose disability or mobility needs arenβt immediately obvious to others.
Or perhaps youβve experienced a moment of patience or kindness from another commuter that made a difficult journey noticeably better.
These are the experiences Considerate Commuter wants to hear about.
Take the 5-minute anonymous survey
The Considerate Commuter questionnaire is an opportunity to share what travelling is really like from your point of view.
It asks about how you travel, the situations you encounter and what you wish other people understood about your journey.
There are no right or wrong answers.
The aim isnβt to decide which type of commuter behaves best. Itβs to collect different perspectives and help people understand why others may behave differently from themselves.
π Your responses are anonymous.
β±οΈ It takes around 5 minutes.
π¬ Real experiences are welcome.
π Every perspective matters.

Why take part?
One personβs experience can help another person see a familiar situation completely differently.
The more perspectives that are shared, the more Considerate Commuter can learn about the everyday experiences of people using our roads and public spaces.
Over time, those experiences can help shape the project, its messages and the conversations it encourages.
Understanding begins by listening.
Different journeys. Different perspectives. Mutual respect.
